Occupational Therapy Services

At First Expressions, our team consists of talented and fun occupational therapists and certified occupational therapist assistants who are ready to help children who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems. 

A child’s primary occupation is Play! And our OTs will teach them how to use fun and innovative ways to play while also helping them become more independent in all areas of their lives. Our OTs can help boost your child self-esteem and their sense of accomplishment!

With occupational therapy, children can:

• Develop fine motor skills so they can grasp and release toys and develop good handwriting or computer skills.
• Improve eye–hand coordination so they can play and master basic life skills such as bathing, getting dressed, brushing teeth, and self-feeding.
• Learn positive behaviors and social skills by practicing how they manage frustration and anger.
• Get special equipment to help build their independence. These include specialized feeding utensils, bathing equipment, dressing devices, and communication aids.
