Dulce Carrillo is a speech-language pathologist assistant. She graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. From there she attended CSU Northridge where she received her license to practice.  Growing up, Dulce strived to have a career where she could make a positive impact in someone’s life. She believes that communication is a human right and feels fortunate to be a part of the team supporting children and adults to improve their communication skills.

Traveling is something that has brought much joy to Dulce’s life. It has given her the ability to immerse herself in many different cultures. She says, that “traveling has helped her view the world with more compassion and a more inclusive cultural lens. Some of her most recent trips overseas have included; Thailand, Cuba, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Everywhere Dulce has traveled has left her with fond memories and a better understanding of the world we live in.

Throughout her education and career, she has been reminded of the importance of the work we do. She is grateful to be a part of the First Expression team and looks forward to helping children succeed!
